2018 – 2025

The International Council of AIDS Service Organizations (ICASO) was a vital global non-profit dedicated to mobilizing diverse community groups to drive effective, rights-based, and sustainable HIV/AIDS responses. ICASO championed human rights and access to prevention, treatment, and policy change worldwide before ceasing operations in 2025.

Design process

  • Focus on translating complex, advocacy-focused research into accessible, impactful communication tools.

  • Develop a visual structure and aesthetic that visually reinforce its commitment to community-led advocacy on a global scale.

My work covered a range of critical global health topics, including:

  • U=U for Women: Creating materials to promote the Undetectable=Untransmittable message specifically within women's health contexts.

  • Venezuela: The Triple Threat of HIV, Malaria and Tuberculosis, requiring sensitive data visualization.

  • Develop branding and materials for international conferences to ensure consistent organizational visibility and message delivery.

‘The ICASO leadership recognised the exceptional work that Daniel had achieved on creating a new and unified visual identity for the ICASO brand. His design acumen combined with with creative talent meant that he was an obvious choice to bring on as the tenured graphic designer to the agency. From academic posters to promotional banners through to policy papers, critical global situation reports, and advocacy materials linked to political, social justice and human rights issues; Daniel oversaw the creation the design under the new ICASO branding for the AIDS 2018 conference.’
